Both the Mist Trail Suite and the Sentinel Dome Trail Suite offer 1 bedroom while the Panoramic Trail Suite offers 2 bedrooms. Great for singles, couples, small families, large families, or groups. Each family-friendly suite features free Wi-Fi, a living room, a fully equipped kitchenette, queen size pull-out couch with gel mattress, gas fireplaces, and flat screen TVs. The suites also feature spacious master bedrooms with California king sized log beds, large private bathrooms, private outdoor patios with barbecues, and amazing views of the surrounding oak and pine forest, and mountains. A continental breakfast basket is included in your room and gives you the convenience of breakfast at your leisure.

El Portal Road (continuation of Highway 140 into Yosemite) will remain closed through this weekend due to a rockfall. The only access to Yosemite National Park is via Highways 41 and 120 from the west.
The large rockfall, which occurred around noon yesterday, caused about 4,000 tons/60,000 cubic feet of rock to fall. About 150 feet of road is covered in 15 to 20 feet of debris; part of the road's paved surface and retaining wall is damaged.

This weekend's storm is supposed to be a once every 20 to 30 years kind of storm. Yosemite has not officially decided to close yet. They are monitoring this storm closely. But we could be repeating what they experienced this back in January 1997.
