Stentorian Spotlight!

This week we are recognizing Battalion Chief David L Spence.

Chief Spence has been with the Los Angeles Fire Department since October of 1986 and loves the camaraderie, fulfillment from helping others, and the fact that “no day is the same.”

He has been a member of the Stentorians of Los Angeles City since February of 1987 where he has proudly served as a board member.

“I served on the first Stentorian Board after our separation from the County Stentorians, and then served two terms as the President of the Stentorians. I understood our transition from a social organization into a more political entity and embraced how having a voice at the political table would serve our members better. The Stentorians provided leadership, networking, friendships and promotional opportunities. And they still do!”

Chief Spence wishes potential JoinLAFD candidates know, “there is a place in our organization for anyone who truly wants to put in the effort to make themselves and the people they serve better. We need young vibrant candidates of all races, creeds, colors, religions and sexual preferences and identities to serve our diverse and deserving communities.”

Let’s give it up for Chief Spence for his commitment to serving the city of Los Angeles!

[09/18/17]   Vibrant Seniors on the move. This weekend's tour of Solvang started with breakfast at Margie's Diner in San Luis Obispo. What a meal. Some Happy Seniors enjoying Saturday morning breakfast with friends and plenty of good food.

A Perfect San Francisco Adventure

Our San Francisco trip was another amazing adventure! From Alcatraz Island to the Winchester Mystery House​, from San Pablo Lyntton Casino to J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines​, there was something for every Vibrant Senior!

Our Next Adventure!

After a quick lunch pick up at the Willow Ranch BBQ restaurant back on the road, home bound! I love Mother Nature and her beauty.

10:00 am wine tasting at the J. Lohr Winery in San Jose, CA for a quickie. It's 5:00 somewhere in the world.

After a hardy meal time for a good drink. We had cocktails at the Fat Lady Restaurant and Bar.

Day 3, Jack London Square and lunch at a wonderful BBQ restaurant. Met a man who came to eat lunch at this restaurant and he lives in Alaska. Says he comes anytime he is in town. Lots of good food.

Visting San Pablo Lyton Casino, too much smoke, We did not stay long. No non smoking area available. Nice casino for a moment or two.

Visiting the Winchester Mystery House. Unable to take photos inside. Looking for Sarah but she did not appear.

Parole granterd time for a drink. Hard Rock Cafe on Pier 39. Happy Birthday to our driver. He loved the shirt! Took a picture for him to send home to his wife. David is the best!

Looking for Bubba! Or a cheap room!

Vibrant Seniors on the Hornblower Cruise Boat to Alcatraz. I took 12 seniors , hopefully I will bring only 12 back.

Enjoying Pier 39, Hard Rock Cafe for a drink to keep the body warm. Oh, those Vibrant Seniors. It called fun time. Laughter and more laughter.

Back on board the bus for the trip to our hotel La Quinta Inns in Hayward, CA

Antiques at Bravo Farms. Take a close look and see items you have not seen in a long time. Lots of fun at this site. Good ice cream and candy.
