Unfortunately our History Bites presentation will be rescheduled for a second time as the presenter is not 100% and the presentation would suffer for it. We will reschedule and update you as soon as we can. Linn County Sheriff's Office

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office has put together a comprehensive Wildfire Recovery Resources page, to aide our community in recovering from the historic wildfires that have burned through many areas of Linn County.

The Sheriff’s Office is also conducting Initial Damage Assessments of impacted properties, using a FEMA Initial Assessment tool. Maps of the assessed properties, and more information related to Damage Assessments, will be published as it becomes available.

The Albany Pix Theatre offers showings with captions! They also have a new air purifier that eliminates airborne particulates, odors and pathogens including SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19).

Since were once again opening new titles, thought we'd get back to our practice of running Open Caption Showtimes for our friends in the community with hearing accessibility issues.

Our evening showtimes next Sunday - Tuesday (Sept 13-15) will be presented with Open Captions (Subtitles will appear onscreen).

As we go to sleep tonight with heavy hearts for our friends and family in turmoil from the wildfires, just remember...19 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,997 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters and 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for their morning patrol. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment, life may never be the same. So just for now, be grateful. We are resilient. Tonight, before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted. #wereallinthistogether

Our Linn County Sheriff's Office, Linn County Expo Center and caring neighbors are there to help. The livestock stalls are full at the Expo but A Facebook group for those with AVAILABLE livestock boarding and resources to connect with those NEEDING livestock facilities, has been created:https://www.facebook.com/groups/linncountylivestock

Shelter is available for displaced residents at Linn County Fairgrounds, located at 3700 Knox Butte Rd E, Albany, OR. Drive-in shelter only at this time. Pets are welcome, and livestock stables are open for use.
