A new cabin that is private yet accessible situated on 5 acres in a gated community (the only rental property) surrounded by the Smoky Mountains overlooking Fontana Lake with amazing long range mountain views. The cabin, with two porches so you experience the tranquility and spectacular views, has a private drive which connects to hiking trails. For those who want to explore the Appalachian Trail, the cabin is a 10 minute drive to the Nantahala Outdoor Center, location of the Appalachian Trail. The cabin has a feel of a timber frame, log and cottage home. The 3 bedrooms consist of a master bedroom with a king size bed and private bath, a log cabin bedroom with bunk beds and two twin beds and the third bedroom with 2 twin beds. A loft is complete with an entertainment center and comfortable seating. The kitchen is state of the art with ceasarstone countertops and a farm table with seating for 8. There are 2 bathrooms on the first floor and one of the second floor. An indoor gas fireplace in the living room along with a outdoor wood burning fireplace under the covered porch. There is a fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows and making smore's. A gas grill is provided. This is a cabin for those desiring a place to nurture the soul and breathe in the beauty of the mountains. Minutes away from Fontana Lake, a 25 mile lake perfect for swimming, kayaking, fishing, boating, waterskiing. The Nantahala Outdoor Center, the best outfitting in the country, has white water rafting, a wilderness center, rentals, restaurants is a 10 minute drive away. Bryson City with the Smoky Mountain Train, Sylva (the college town), Smoky Mountain Golf Course (open to the public), Cherokee with Harrah's Casino, Tsali Mountain Biking Trail system - all are within 30 minutes from the cabin.
